How lovely has our weather been lately?! It is really feeling like spring. This is why I'm changing my hair colour, my makeup and my wardrobe. My clothing is getting so much more colour into it. Plus all the above makes you feel 10 times better too!
I hope the weather continues, I want to get the BBQ out!
Look at these cute pearly, beads I bought from Primark for my hair. They come in a multi-pack with other style hairbands (see blog from other day *Primark Haul*) They jazzed up my whole look great.
Back to my hair. I am trying to do the Ombre look, on my own at home. Attempting to do it in two stages (fingers crossed). The reason I want ombre is because its perfect for us lazy girls who cant be bothered to keep up with dying their hair all the time!! Ha ha.
Anyway, at the moment I appear to have blended it real well. Its a strawberry blonde from the mid lengths to just before the ends. The ends are a little brighter blonde. Having said that, it seems to have gone multi-tonal blonde all the way through. I personally like that as I think it give it some more interest.
Here was the dye I use for the first stage:
How did I do it?
*I stood in front of my bathroom mirror (obviously).
*I split my hair into sections like I would when straightening.
*Starting from the bottom section of my head up.
*I grabbed the area of hair from the top of my right ear to the top of my left ear & secured the rest in a bun on top of my head.
*Then put a parting down the centre of the loose of hair (to make it equal).
*Then bought each section round to my front, either side.
*Proceeded to mix the dye.
*I then marked (with a bit of the dye) on each side where I was going to start.
*Gradually bringing the dye down to the ends of my hair, making sure to blend in with my hands (gloves on!) by going over and over the area again and again, making sure every inch was covered.
*I then bought down another section of similar thickness.
*Followed the center parting I had originally done.
*Once again marking with the dye where I wanted the blonde to start (probably the same area as the layer bellow).
*Blend again.
*Repeat the process all the way through your hair.
*Follow instructions on pack for development time, washing out etc.
*Dry. Style if you like.
*Et voila! Step one (or however many you need to do...) complete!
Here what it looks like so far:
Here is the second dye I have bought for Stage 2:
I shall do another blog on how it comes out once I have done it. I'm quite excited. I hope I blend it as well. I love the colour on the box, but I know I prob wont get that exact colour. As long as I am a lighter blonde for my spring/summer vibes, I don't mind. :)
Hope you all get to enjoy the weather at some point.
