Hi Lovelies.
I am awful with blogging lately... I just seem to have hit a wall with what to write.
One thing that is going well though is the gym.
Its all I ever seem to tweet about, talk about, purchase items for or am physically there!
I think it is somewhat of an addiction... But what a great addiction to have.
I am buzzing from it. The results are really starting to show.
Its fantastic. I feel fantastic!
Haven't felt this good in years! Yes, I said years.
I am getting physically stronger, muscles are popping up and out of places I never thought they would or I thought they could!
Weights:
I have built up my resistance with weights and now I am up with the fellas pulling weights with them! Brilliant! I am actually lifting heavier weights than some of them on certain bits of equipment... Lol.
I do every aspect of my body with weights. Ok, I don't know all the proper names for them all but I can feel I have worked them!!
Cardio:
I got told this was a no, no, due to having PE's (Pulmonary Embolisms) back in May/June 2015 that blocked blood to the lower half of both my lungs and made my left partially collapse... BUT, when have I ever listened?!
I instead have gradually built this too, listening to my OWN BODY and what its trying to tell ME.
I have gone from doing 5 minutes on the bike to warm up, to doing 20 mins on the bike, straight to 20-30 mins on the cross trainer & now I'm building up on the rower (currently 5 mins - LP's have killed my back)
Mat Work:
I love a bit of mat work too. Doing squats, lunges, mixed sit ups/crunches, stretches. Can change it up.
My stretching has improved so much that I can almost do the splits again. Woo!
My next aims are:
* To keep upping the weights, as I want to be real strong.
* To be able to do chin ups! I really, REALLY want this!
* To keep enjoying the gym. Being fit and healthy is fab, but I want to enjoy it too.
