The Search For The Perfect Eyebrows

Eyebrows, brows, whatever you call them.
They are one of the most trickiest things to get right in your make up routine. They can either make or break the look you are going for. Everything from their shape, to their colour is crucial.

I prefer to just keep mine natural & just tidy them, rather than have them in any particular shape. Mainly because it think its too much hard work to upkeep them! Lol :/ Also the bigger brow (Thanks Cara D!) is still in fashion. YAY :D

I have in the past taken a bit too much off though... Thanks to putting on a little too much wax (no glasses/no contact lenses) and also getting a little too tweezer happy! I think that you can get a tad obsessive when tweezing your eyebrows. Anyone else find this?? So, it is probably better that I keep them as natural as I can. :)

Colour. I again have made a ton of mistakes! It first happened when I decided to dye my hair darker. I went from blonde (which I had been for 9 + years) to brunette/dark brown hair. My eyebrows just disappeared!! >:/ I made the big mistake of buying a brow pencil to match my hair colour... Wrong, wrong, WRONG!! I looked like a clown. It was awful, embarrassing. I then changed my hair to dark purple, then to dark red and still struggled with my brows. In the end I decided to choose a colour that is the same colour as my eyebrows or just one step darker. BINGO! That's the one. Perfect. :D :D Took my time to get it right but got there. Even though my hair is now its natural colour at the top & blonde at the bottoms I still use my brow pencil as it makes such a difference. I currently am using Primark's light eyebrow pencil. I know Primark?! But I really do like it. Think it only cost £2 as well! Happy days.

I feel with the correct colour and shape, your eyebrows can really frame your face & help set off your makeup.

I like to use pencil. I use pencil as it can be blended easy & gives a soft effect. Also, 9 times out of 10 you get a wand/brush at the end to use which helps fix & blend your brows in with the product. I know there are so many products out there for eyebrows. Gel, liquid liners, powder etc. But am a bit too scared at the min...

What brow products do you use/prefer?
Have you had eyebrow tattooing done??
Also it would be funny to hear your disasters too!!

Please leave your comments below. :)

For now,

  1. I've always had trouble with my eyebrows, in my opinion they were too big and thick! But now when it's trendy, I learned to love them. Definitely learned from my mistakes, don't ever use a completely black colour and don't pluck them too much!

    1. It is funny how trends change (and so quick) all of a sudden eyebrows can be 'fashionable'. It's great to be different & unique. Love to be yourself hun ;)
Yeah, no 'colouring in' & step away from the tweezers now & then! :'D
