IIH stats - Brain feels as though it's being squished, eyes hurt to move, been going to bed at 7pm but still feel tired, work yesterday was good respite (even though it hurt laughing!), the pulsing sound in my head seems to be getting louder. There are other things but let's not moan!!
Today is St Paddys Day. A day that nearly everyone forgets what it's truly is about and uses it as an excuse for a good old knees up and booze cruise round the local Irish pubs, right? ;) Of course they do! If you don't suffer with an illness like iih then why not! YOLO and all that. However, just because you have iih doesn't mean you have to miss out. You don't have to follow like a sheep and make the whole day about booze. Also you kind of don't want to when you feel like you have a constant hangover!!
First of all you don't have to dress up like a leprechaun! Subtle hints of green and gold should do it.
#1. Like add a green eyeshadow to a typical smokey brown or for a more dramatic eye black smokey... Get the right green & this can really make blue/brown/hazel eyes POP!! Going out straight after work??...
#2. Use a GOLD liquid eye liner just above the black liner; this adds a bit more pizzazz! If you want more of a GLITTER look (& for it to not be so dark)....
#3. Go for a dark green eyeshadow & a metallic GOLD eyeshadow... put the GOLD on the inner eye & the dark green on the outer and blend the two in the middle.
#4. Alternatively, if you prefer natural. Choose a lighter green with a cream colour eye shadow and repeat as per GOLD & green.
MUA eyeshadow is fab. The pigment in them lasts ALL day. I got the GOLD liquid eyeliner from Avon. And Chanel do waterproof liquid eyeliner. For kohl I use Miss Sporty.
If, you really can't go the day without a Guinness, why not do a Guinness cake instead? Ok, I admit... Not as satisfying as a nice, cold, dark, liquid, creamy pint of the good old Irish charm itself, but it won't give you a hangover! Also you can SHARE this one! And please make sure you share it. Otherwise, you'd have been better off having the pint!!
Anyway, I'm off to paint my nails green!!

ReplyDeleteWell Guinness cake is a great way to incorporate the booze aspect into St Paddy's Day when you cant really drink (or if you can the cake and an Irish coffee!!). It makes it so smooth and creamy too. It doesn't just need to be Paddy's day! ;) xxx
