Happy Mother's Day to all Mother's, Mother's to be and all the Mummy's that have their Angels in heaven. Of course a very special Happy Mother's Day to my Mum.
Last year, unfortunately, myself and my mother were unable to celebrate this special day. I had just come out of hospital the day before after three-four week stay due to iih. I'd only just been diagnosed. I left hospital unable to walk, couldn't string sentences together and so many other things... The worst thing though, was losing my independence. Then to top it off, I felt awful as I hadn't got my Mum a Mother's day card! I felt such a failure!
Fast forward to this year. I decided to have a girl's day with my Mum. :) Started the day off doing her make up. Which she absolutely loves me doing. I matched her lippy to her pink earrings (which she specifically choose for today). A lovely Avon one called PINK ICING ironic really as she makes cakes!! Then off we went for a spot of make up and clothes shopping. Then a delicious tapas dinner at Argo Lounge. I bought her, her make up and her dinner. Every time I looked at her she had a smile on her face. That, that is all I wanted. :) Cause it's important to remember.... It's not just you going through this rare, debilitating illness, it's your loved ones too. Sometimes it's worse looking in... It can break their heart and their smile.
So, today's for you my beautiful Mum & best friend... Keep smiling & SPARKLE with your new make up! Cause I'm GLITTERING in mine!
