Westminster Tragedy

Westminster Tragedy

Before reading this, please understand these are my own thoughts, opinions and thinking's; I blog to get thoughts and feelings out.
I respect a good debate and like to get involved in a good hearted one too. Although this is my lil space to express myself.

As I sit and write this, I am watching Panorama - Westminster Terror Attack.

I am watching lots of different people, of many backgrounds, ethnic minorities, give multiple opinions, of what happened a week ago.

The programme are trying to ask and answer questions at a time that there is more speculation than that of actual fact… Re the WhatsApp encryption codes.

Just a personal opinion as is the rest of this.

One thing is for sure, the loss of lives, the many with live changing injuries and those that saw the terrible moment unfold - possibly causing long term mental/physical or both disturbance (PTSD/ANXIETY/SHOCK to name but a few), is an extreme tragedy without the marker of it being a terror attack.

What I am watching and keep seeing, since the moment of its happening, is the word radicalisation.

I am in complete agreement that every single person needs to be involved and help to reduce to (hopefully) eventually stop this process.

I do think that this is somewhat blame shifting.

I feel as though it is taking the blame from the individual who made their own mind up, their own decision, their own choice to negotiate their own their actions and then decide on their own to carry out this monstrosity.

It was one individual (thus far) who decided to take multiple steps, to cause as much devastation in one swoop. They had zero regards to who, what or if they themselves got inured or in this case killed.

It is not fair to allow an organisation to say that they done this. No, it was down to the individual (as far as we know) that done so.

What gets me with the word radicalisation, is how in this day and age many automatically presume it to be a certain religion/race.

No.

It is so not and I cannot help but feel that we will see in the up and coming months a retaliation on those who do not deserve it and they are decent humans with a moral compass.

What we should be focussing on is teaching our kids and future children, about manners again.

We should be teaching them about mental health as a standard and if they have got an issue with anger (poss undiagnosed) then they with the right morals, manners and teachings can make the correct decision in life.

One that will ensure they are not at risk of brainwashing or being lead on by an organisation that means harm and has zero relation to religion or morals.

They will be able to have the right mechanisms, confidence & support given for them to decide right from wrong.

I am fully aware we cannot save everyone, but if we can just one…

Westminster could have been avoided.

If my thoughts above seem rose tinted or narrow minded, at least I have hope for a better future and not all have harm in their soul.

I leave this with my sentiments to those involved, their families and friends.
Especially that of PC Keith Palmer - a true Hero in every sense.
