I'm getting even more braver with my style choices.
Todays choice is a clash of eras'.
Its more erm... 'shouldery'(?) so yes, you can actually see my bra straps as I don't really do strapless bras due to the size of my boobs... Doesn't bother me too much; just pop on a pretty colour/strapped bra. Sorted.
Anyways, back to the top! The reason its called a Bardot top is because of Brigitte Bardot. The top was iconic to her; it was the style that she wore.
Classy & damn sexy.
Shows off the shoulder, décolletage & a peak or more of cleavage.

As I was going to work I didn't pull the top all the way down my arms, instead I left it be. I didn't want to have my girls flouncing around whilst servicing the public!
A true 50's beauty.
I then applied my makeup to compliment my chosen outfit of the day.
As I concentrated on my eye makeup, I toned down my red lip (which has now turned into my signature look) I popped concealer on first, then dabbed the red lippy on and blended in with my little finger.
The lower half was more contemporary. Cue black ripped jeans & white (now off white) Swarovski crystal converse.
Couldn't be further from the classic top!
However, this clash of era's WORKED!
It looked rather good even if I do say so myself.
Sometimes items that you think really should or wont work together do.
Its just taking that step to try it. I'm glad I did, cause I felt rather good today (even with a chesty cough!)

The complete look:
I think we should all get a little bit braver and have fun with clothes again.
