When its sunny and hot you don't want your locks getting all in your face and stuck to your neck acting like a scarf.
When its a combo of sunny, hot, humid, windy and you are like me your hair WILL go cray. Like crazy frizzy! Not a fab look.
Or, once again Thanks to good ol' Blighty, it chucks it down when your out and about, you don't have to worry cause you have a CUTE UP DO!
So, yes, cute up do's are my thing in the summer. Or a relaxed beachy wave at the most.
Main reason being, I don't want to be styling my hair for a ton of time, getting even more hot and bothered and wondering if its the water from the shower coming off me or if I'm actually sweating (nice)!
Plus there are sooooo many cute beads, flowers, colourful lil gems, bands and accessories to put in your hair now, its exciting to do.
Here are some lush locks that I am lusting over lately:
So chic and so easy to do!
Pop a thin headband on & then tuck your hair around the band starting at the front.
Pull some strands out to make it even more relaxed.
Beach babe alert.
Spray your hair with salt spray for added texture with this look.
Either do a real loose, BIG, French braid or knots (which this is) for this gorgeous beachy vibe, fix with grips or a cute band.
How cute is this style?
Braids are one of the best accessories to use in your hair; you have all what you need on your head - do a semi loose braid down one side of your head & fix with a Kirby grip.
Add a messy bun to the mix and its your perfect mix for Summer - just tuck the rest of your tresses up and under and fix with a couple more grips.
This style is a great twist to the original braid and bun.
Asymmetric braid & a top knot.
Fab for when you are sunbathing, as there are no loose strands to give you dodge tan marks!
Sophisticated chic.
A crown made with a plait along with a elegant bun.
One way to be a Princess and keep your hair all off of you in one go.
I'd start the braid at the back of one ear/the nape of the neck, as connecting it up will look better.
Also do the bun first and leave some hair out for the braid!
Yep, another braided version... There is a theme!
This I think is a great idea for a night out.
Especially when its hot.
No-one wants their hair sticking to them when they just want to dance!
Add a quiff to the braids at the side, along with a pony that has been secured with a band and then had your own hair wrapped round it, secure with a grip, use texture spray, curl the odd bit, et voila.
Rock chick, cute up do!
Want to add a little oomph to your braid?
Add accessories like flowers.
Perfect for summer.
Also a great idea if you are going to a Wedding, Christening, Birthday, any type of celebration really.
It takes a normal plait to the next level up.
So there we have it.
These are some of the looks I have been experimenting with.
I love to find new ides and putting my own spin on it... As when I cant get it spot on, I just make it my own!

You're about right! OMG I laughed so much.. No one knows the real struggle unless they actually live a hot area like 30 C and more for most summer or spring seasons !! " getting even more hot and bothered and wondering if its the water from the shower coming off me or if I'm actually sweating (nice)!" Hahahaha I HEAR YOU GIRL! I myself have think slightly dry hair. I love all these hair ideas! I'm so bad at braiding but this might inspire me to practice!

They are fab aren't they?!
DeleteI have been trying to do different things with my hair as you can fall into a bit of a trap of doing the same old thing, cant you?
I am no expert braider either. I norm do one or to French plaits and that's about it, but like you said, you see all the above and you just want to go for it.
