Princess Aurora

Walt Disney, made my childhood the most memorable & best I could ask for.
I still get excited over coming across old Disney videos, seeing that an old one is on telly and also that Disney has released new film.

Disney got me through being unwell, when I was laying on the sofa (with Mum) at silly o'clock, when I was happy, when myself and Mum had days at home together ~ we use to dance around the living room and pretend we were the Princess, all whilst singing the songs word for word, as we watched them so much. :D The character I loved to pretend to be  ~ other than the Princess ~ was one of the Fairies. One of my obsessions then & still now. :)

I have probably watched all of the old ones from when I was a child. The Little Mermaid, Pocahontas, Cinderella, Beauty and The Beast, Bambi.... gosh the list is truly endless. And I love them all. The nostalgia just pours out of me. :)

Disney just gets it! It is so clever how they can get everyone from the age of 2 - 80 really into the film. Actually in it! Personally, I think they make their films with... MAGIC!! Yes, magic! Why? Well, all their films are made with the MAGIC of DISNEY!

I've chosen to write a little about Princess Aurora today ~ That's Sleeping Beauty ~ No 1 because the new Princess Charlotte has arrived (Yay) No 2 I'm tired (Lol) No 3 It has 3 fairies in it :D No 4 I watched it so much as a child.
Also have chosen pictures and clips from the ORIGINAL film, as that is what I grew up with. :)

The 3 fairies in Sleeping Beauty that look after Aurora, I think absolutely make the film. They are so funny. They argue, they bicker, they are different sizes, they wears different colours, but their main priority and focus is still the same and they are all fiercely protective. The best thing though? As an adult looking in, I notice how 'normal' they are. Well, apart from the wands! 'cause magic is the usual, obvs!

I absolutely love this scene in Sleeping Beauty. Cleaning the house would be so much more fun if it were like this, wouldn't it? :D I think that I must have picked up something from this film... I dance whilst I clean! :D Bet my Mum sometime wishes it were this easy to make a big cake. Especially when she has a ton of orders! Click HERE for CAKE!

I have no idea, but this shot from the film just makes me smile.
It looks like chaos! :D Fun chaos. Material everywhere. You can tell that they are getting ready to make a dress for Princess Aurora. Families use to do this all the time. The girls getting together to make, fix, repair dresses, clothes, curtains etc. Isn't it sad to think that we live in a world where most of us don't do this anymore?!

And this is how I feel today... :0 ~ Thanks IIH ~ This is where I wish I was a Princess so that I could sleep for as long as I want and have people bring me what I need. Lol. Oh, and have someone apply my make up to look like that. :)

This is my favourite scene of the entire film, although I'm also disappointed as it is ending. I just love it when the Prince & Princess are dancing and the fairies are changing her dress colour constantly! Its just beautiful. If it could happen in real life, I would so have it happen to me!!
