Isn't MUSIC great?
Well I think it is!
I think it is great how you can be in a particular mood & have a song portray it.
Especially if you are having trouble explaining how you are feeling. Music is a great tool to use for this.
If I am happy I normally play a Calvin Harris, Example, David Guetta, Dance tune, something along those lines, that I can sing along & dance (well I don't think you can call it dancing) to. I'm normally smiling away too.
If I need to concentrate, for some odd reason, I listen to Dance Anthems, that have a consistent beat. Think the classic Insomnia!
I don't know what it is about them but I can just zone out & really think.
When I use to run a lot, I listened to Katy Perry's Album Teenage Dream.
I use to make sure my left foot hit the ground on the main beat!
When my Nan passed away, Ellie Goulding had Burn in the charts.
I just kept playing it over & over again & again; really loud, so that I couldn't hear anything else. So that I couldn't let myself think about anything or anyone.
Especially Nan.
I was just in too much despair & I was obviously mourning.
Then there are songs that make me take a trip down Memory Lane.
For instance: Blue ~ Me & my friend Hazel always listened to them in art class. We had everything to do with them! Pencil cases, pens, diaries, I mean I remember basing a art project on them... :'D
Elvis Presley ~ One of Nan & Grandad's favourite people to listen to. On holiday, every year as a child, in Great Yarmouth, there would always be an Elvis impersonator! It was one of Nan's best bits. This makes me smile every time! :)
Driving and singing along to songs.
Come on we all do it!
;)
Even my Mr sits in the passenger seat whaling them out with me!
See music is fab!
It is there for you no matter what mood your in, it doesn't judge you, it doesn't care what you look like that day, whether you have makeup on or not.
It comes in all matter of genres.
Rock, pop, dance... Millions to choose from!
Just enjoy making your very own & personal
SOUNDTRACK TO LIFE.
